Brief information

Graduated with honors from the Faculty of Geography of the Belarusian State University (1997). Since 1997 he has been working at the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University. Candidate of Geographical Sciences, specialty 25.00.24 - Economic, social, political and recreational geography (2003). Associate Professor in Geography (2006).

Research interests: geography of tourism, competitiveness of tourist destinations.

Author of over 130 scientific publications. Participated in the development of the National Tourism Development Program of the Republic of Belarus for 2006-2010, the Program for the Development of Domestic and Inbound Tourism in Minsk for 2003-2005, the Comprehensive Forecast of the Development of Minsk for the Period up to 2020, the Sustainable Development Strategy Disna region, Strategies for sustainable development of ecological tourism in Belarus. As part of the scientific team, he took part in the implementation of the research work "Development of the draft National Strategy for the Development of Tourism in the Republic of Belarus until 2035" (2018-2019).

Laureate of the scholarship of the President of the Republic of Belarus for talented young scientists in 2006.

Works as a member of the Scientific and Methodological Council under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus (section of geography and cartography).

Passed international scientific internships at the EURAC European Academy (Bolzano, Italy, 2010), Matej Bela University (Banska Bystrica, Slovakia, 2017).

Participated as an expert in the implementation of international projects in the field of tourism and sustainable regional development:

UNDP Project No. 00080237 "National Human Development Report: Competitive Advantages of the Regions of the Republic of Belarus" - expert on the development of ecological and agroecotourism;
The EU project "Support for Sustainable Development of Tourism in Belarus" to develop strategies for the development and promotion of five destinations in Belarus (Pruzhany and Kamenets districts, Myadel district, Mstislav district, Polotsk, Augustow Canal) is an expert in assessing tourism development resources, existing and prospective tourist destination products;
UNDP Project No. 00080822 “Local Entrepreneurship and Economic Development”, expert in assessing economic assets and infrastructure of tourist destinations;
GEF / UNDP project No. 48429 “Creating conditions for the sustainable functioning of the system of protected wetlands in the Belarusian Polissya (increasing the efficiency of their management and improving land use practices)”, leader of research work on the development of the concept for the development of ecological tourism in the Sporovsky reserve, expert/executor Research work on the development of a concept for the development of ecological tourism in the reserve "Middle Pripyat";
